WIFI Temperature and Humidity Sensor - Internet Of Things (IOT)
Monitor environmental conditions remotely with this Wi-Fi-connected sensor that transmits real-time temperature and humidity data to Monitoring.JemRF.com or compatible platforms. The pre-assembled unit requires no soldering—simply power it on and configure via web browser using the intuitive setup interface. It initially broadcasts as a wireless access point for configuration, then seamlessly integrates into your existing Wi-Fi network to enable continuous cloud-based monitoring and data logging from any location.
Features:
- Easy to configure web interface. No programming or soldering skills required. You do not need the internet to configure the device. Connect to it directly from any Wi-Fi device (e.g., PC, phone, tablet).
- Cyclic temperature transmission mode with configurable send interval
- Supports either Celsius or Fahrenheit temperature readings
- MQTT support for an external broker of your choice.
- A configurable temperature delta threshold allows the device to monitor temperature and transmit only when the current reading exceeds the previous reading by a specified amount. This feature is handy for saving battery power.
- Powered either by a USB Mini cable (4.5V DC to 7V DC input) or by an external power source (3.5V - 5V) via the 2-pin connection.
- DHT22 Temperature and Humidity sensor measures temperature and humidity. Measures temperatures from -40°C to +80°C. Fahrenheit equivalent is -40°F to +176°F, ±0.5°C accuracy—measures humidity from 0-100%RH with 2% across the range.
-
**Note: The operating temperature for the WiFWiFimperature sensor is -30F to +125.6F, -34C to 52C. If you need the larger range, select the External Sensor option.
- Although the sensor is highly accurate (±0.5°C accuracy), you can calibrate the temperature reading using a configuration in the WIFI sensor app.
- The device supports dual Wi-WiFi, allowing it to act as both a Wi-WiFi access point and a Wi-WiFi client simultaneously. A Wi-Fi access point advertises its SSID and can be connected to via any Wi-Fi device or computer.
External sensor option:
- The sensor can be mounted externally to the WIFI module
- 9" wires can be extended if required
- Soldering required. 3 of the four wires need to be soldered to the board (see external wiring picture)
Required, but not included:
- Mini USB cable and power supply (older cell phones used mini USB, so you may already have one at the bottom of a drawer)
- 5V to 7V power supply. Any USB power supply will work.
Installation:
Specs:
- Dimensions 74mm x 55mm x 28mm
- Powered either by USB Mini cable (4.5V DC to 7V DC input) or battery connection (2.5V to 3.5V) via the 2-pin battery connection plug
- -34C to +52C. Fahrenheit equivalent is -30F to +125.6F, ±0.5°C accuracy from -10°C to +52°C
- Can be programmed using Arduino or LUA development environments
