This M Series wireless Temperature and Humidity sensor is genuinely one of the best and most accurate options you can find. It includes a Sensiron-based sensor that delivers ±2% relative humidity and ±0.3°C accuracy for most applications (see the graphs below). Sensiron, a respected Swiss company, makes some of the most trusted environmental sensors worldwide, often used in medical, industrial, automotive, and analytical instruments, consumer products, and HVAC systems.

Our radio transmitter is a top-notch RF transceiver that reliably sends temperature and humidity readings to a receiver, such as an IoT Gateway or Flex RF Module, and is securely protected by 128-bit AES encryption.

Our next-generation sensor supports either the older 2-character ID (RF2) or the newer RF4 or 4-character ID. Have an improved battery performanceBased on our calculations, the sensor is expected to last approximately 12 months on a pair of AA batteries (Included), with updates transmitted at a 5-minute interval (confirmed through testing).

Technical Specs:

  • ±2% relative humidity and ±0.3°C accuracy
  • High-performance RF transceiver based on the market-leading CC1100 SOC.
  • A wide operating voltage range of 2-3.6V makes the devices well-suited for battery power.
  • Current consumption: RX: 16.2 mA, TX: 15.2 mA. Deep Sleep: 0.005Ma (0.5 µA).
  • Up to 1KM line of sight. Short range (~30M) penetration of walls and floors.
  • 128-bit AES encryption security.
  • Driverless installation.
  • All the devices are highly configurable through the serial port or over the air using the LLAP messaging protocol specified in the manual.
  • Available using the older RF2 (2-Character ID) format or the new RF4 (4-Character ID)
  • The base station communicates via a serial port (TTL UART).
  • Communicates in clear ASCII text, making it very easy to exchange data between devices over the air.
  • Supports point-to-point, point-to-multi-point, multi-point-to-point, and multi-point-to-multi-point.
  • A virtually unlimited number of devices can be deployed—99,999 Personal Area Network ID’s, 10 channels per frequency and 7,744 Device ID’s per network.
  • Super low power consumption allows devices to be used with a coin cell battery for long periods of time (up to 1/2 year depending on transmission rates).
  • Supports six frequencies (433 MHZ, 915 MHZ (US & Canada), 868.3 MHz (Europe), 868 MHz, 903 MHz, 315 MHz)
  • 10 channels per frequency.
  • Serial communication with external micro-controllers like Raspberry Pi and Arduino (Tx, Rx, GND, 3V3).
  • A battery monitor to keep track of power consumption.

Serial Specification:

  • UART Serial (Tx, Rx, VCC, GND)
  • 3V
  • 9600 baud, N, 8, 1
  • Clear text 12-character LLAP message protocol format (more details here)
